Albany State Women’s Basketball 2019-20 schedule released

ALBANY, Ga. (September 13, 2019) – The Albany State University women’s basketball team releases its 2019-20 schedule, a slate that includes 11 home games and 13 road contests.

The Golden Rams finished last season with a 9-19 overall record. Albany State University will tip-off their 2019-20 season with the Regional Challenge hosted by Valdosta State University on November 8-9. Following that the Golden Rams will compete in the SIAC-Peach Belt Challenge from November 15-16th

The Golden Rams will then have a two-game home stand against Georgia College (November 20) and Springhill College (November 23). ASU will next travel for a contest against Georgia College (November 26). Albany State will then return home for a contest against Tuskegee University (December 2) and will travel to face the University of West Georgia (December 4) and Lane College on December 14.

ASU will welcome SIAC conference opponents Kentucky State University (December 19) and Central State University (December 21) to campus.

After the holiday break, Albany State will travel to face LeMoyne-Owen (January 4) and Miles College on January 6. The Golden Rams will next host the Golden Bears of Miles College. On January 18, ASU will travel for two road contests to face Paine College (January 18) and Benedict College on January 20. 

Following the contest, the Golden Rams will then host the Wildcats of Fort Valley State University (January 25), Clark Atlanta (January 27) and Savannah State University on February 1. Albany State will then travel for three straight games, starting with Savannah State University on February 10, Fort Valley State University (February 15) and Clark Atlanta University on February 17. 

ASU will then return home for its final two home games of the season against Paine College (February 20) and the Tigers of Benedict College (February 20) to close out the last game of the regular season.

The 2020 SIAC Basketball Tournament will be held February 26 – March 2 in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Dates and times are subject to change.
