RICHMOND, Va. — Delaware State fell 38-6 to Richmond at Robins Stadium on Saturday, dropping the Hornets to 0-3 on the season.
Jonathan Cardoza-Chicas kickeda pair of field goals for the Hornets,: 36 yards in the second quarter and 23 yards in the third.

Hampton 35, Howard 34
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Despite leading by two scores in the fourth quarter, Howard fell to Hampton 35-34 in the Truth & Service Classic on Saturday at Audi Field.
An Aaron Bickerton field goal with 14:49 remaining put the Bison up 34-21, but the Pirates scored two unanswered touchdowns in the final frame to pull out the victory.
Quinton Williams threw for 273 yards and two touchdowns on the afternoon. Kasey Hawthorne also threw a touchdown pass, and Bickerton connected on two field goals.

Towson 20, Morgan State 10
BALTIMORE — Morgan State fell in the Battle for Greater Baltimore on Saturday at Hughes Stadium, as Towson spoiled the Bears’ home opener with a 20-10 defeat.
The Bears were held scoreless until the last frame, and all 10 points came on special teams. Beckett Leary kicked a 29-yard field goal at the 5:11 mark and Jordan Toles returned a blocked field goal 53 yards for a touchdown roughly two minutes later.

PHILADELPHIA — Norfolk State surrendered 14 first-quarter points and could not recover as Temple picked up its second win of the season with a 41-9 victory over the Spartans on Saturday afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field.
Otto Kuhns went 12-for-21 passing for 110 yards and one touchdown, while Xzavion Evans led the ground game with 59 yards on 13 carries, averaging 4.5 yards per rush.

PASADENA, Calif. — In North Carolina Central’s first confrontation with a nationally-ranked FBS opponent, UCLA wasted no time demonstrating its No. 24 ranking. The Bruins scored a touchdown on the first play from scrimmage on their way to a 59-7 victory inside the historic Rose Bowl on Saturday.
NCCU (2-1) engineered a 14-play, 56-yard drive early in the fourth quarter, capped by a 1-yard rushing touchdown by Chris Mosley, to break up the shutout.
