Former HBCU track athlete headed to the Olympics

Former Johnson C. Smith sprinter Danielle Williams can claim several titles – CIAA Champion, NCAA Champion, 2020 USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Track & Field Hall of Famer- and now she can call herself an Olympian.  Williams qualified for the Paris games for Team Jamaica in the 100-meter hurdles after running a 12.53 in the finals at the team’s trials this weekend.  Following a decorated collegiate career at JCSU in which over two years she took home 9 NCAA titles ( 8 individual, 1 relay), 13 CIAA championships, garnered All-America honors…

Kings are potential suitor for Brandon Ingram

For some reason, the New Orleans Pelicans seem dead set on trading Brandon Ingram. Ingram is entering the final year of his current contract, which will pay him $36,016,200. He is eligible for a 4-year extension that could pay him up to $52 million per season and the two sides have been at an impasse as it relates to hashing out a new deal for the forward. Warriors waive Chris Paul, avoids big guarantee

The Warriors have waived point guard Paul and Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.  Paul was acquired last offseason as part of the Jordan Poole trade. In a role that he nor basketball fans are accustomed to, the veteran guard came off the bench for the majority of the season and was unable to be the impactful player we have known him to be in this reduced capacity. Sacramento Kings guard Malik Monk took this player exclusive iteration to the court on March 20, 2024, against the Toronto Raptors. Monk scored 17 points in the King’s 123-89 evisceration of the Raptors. They feature a black-scaled upper and on the sides with sea foam Swooshes.
