Tennessee State football adds Matt Leone as Offensive Coordinator

Courtesy of Tennessee State Athletics NASHVILLE — Matt Leone has joined the Tennessee State football coaching staff as offensive coordinator for the 2026 season, bringing a proven track record of developing high-powered offenses at the FCS and NAIA levels. Leone comes to TSU after serving as offensive coordinator at North Carolina Central University, where he helped engineer one of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference’s most productive offenses. For many, New Year’s Eve is a time of celebration, for a group of thieves it was a nefarious opportunity.  The quintet of crooks broke into Winston-Salem, North Carolina’s MP Kicks, stealing between $25,000 and $30,000 worth of sneakers and high-end wares.  Surveillance footage captured the thieves pulling up to the store at 3:45 am. Tennessee State and Jackson State will renew football pleasantries in the 2026 John A. Fisk student-athlete killed in shooting on I-65

After the event, they departed, entering the interstate in a white Nissan Sentra.
