In a recent game, Sacramento Kings forward and Kobe line flag carrier DeMar DeRozan broke out the “Think Pink/Kay Yow” Kobe IX EM. First worn by the University of Oregon basketball team sports a pink engineered mesh upper adorned on the lateral sides with large white Swooshes and smaller such branding on the medial sides.
A Kobe logo appears on the tongue, while a Kay Yow logo appears on the rear heel.
Underneath resides a white midsole that wraps at the heel to form a heel cup, augmented with pink plastic on the sides, as well as a translucent rubber outsole.
Unfortunately at this juncture, there are no indications of a coming retail release, but it is safe to say there are plenty of us who hope that changes.
