The Golden State Warriors dodged a major bullet in game one of the NBA Finals when Klay Thompson’s nasty looking leg injury in Game 1 only kept him out for a few minutes. Thompson would play 45 minutes in that game, scoring 24, and would score 20 points in 33 minutes in game two.
It looks like more good news could be on the horizon for the defending champs.
Warriors’ forward and 2015 Finals MVP Andre Iguodala has been pain free for the past few days according to a report from ESPN’s Chris Haynes. He has been upgraded to questionable for Game 3. Iguodala has not played since Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals after suffering a bone bruise after colliding knee with James Harden.
The Finals resume Wednesday night with Game 3 in Cleveland. The Warriors lead the series 2-0.
