In recent years, since the untimely and tragic death of the great Kobe Bryant, there has been an upsurge in Kobe Bryant slander/disrespect. What makes it even more nefarious is that it is derived from propping up one LeBron James.
As repulsive as it is to hear the anti-Kobe rhetoric of the propaganda arm of clutch sports, the miasma of Kobe slander has infested the populace of the rank and file LeSychophant population, with some of them uttering some of the most depraved and repugnant things imaginable, none of which were basketball related.
Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum has seemingly had enough of these coordinated attacks on the Black Mamba. In a recent appearance on the Pivot Podcast, Tatum called the purveyors of this wave of false Kobe narratives “Cowardly” and added, “They didn’t speak like this when he was here.”
Tatum has not only been the current or former player to take up the mantle of defending Kobe’s legacy; Lou Williams recently expressed his distaste for Kobe slander as well.
Before the propaganda arm of Klutch Sports shoehorned LeBron into the discussion, it was Kobe Bean Bryant whose name was bantered about as being as good or better than Michael Jordan.
This was not seen as outlandish or a hot take; the subject was often raised during televised Lakers games. It was a subject of debate on national sports shows and was fervently discussed amongst real basketball fans.
Kobe Bryant’s greatness is self-evident and no amount of false narratives promulgated by the Klutch Sports spin doctors can change that. As the mainstream sports media is now more interested in pushing agendas, rather than providing informative, well-executed journalism, that burden, as well as preserving basketball’s rich history, now has to be carried by true fans of the game.
