Miles Bridges, Mychelle Johnson Make Competing Allegations Amid Ongoing Custody Dispute

New legal filings have added another chapter to the ongoing dispute between NBA forward Miles Bridges and Mychelle Johnson, the mother of his children.

According to court documents first reported this week, Johnson is facing a misdemeanor assault and battery charge in North Carolina stemming from an alleged June 22 custody exchange. Bridges alleges Johnson threw water on him in front of their children and told authorities he is concerned for the children’s safety.

Johnson, however, disputes Bridges’ account and has filed her own response in court. She alleges Bridges initiated the criminal complaint to gain leverage in their custody battle and claims she threw the water only after Bridges attempted to run her over with a golf cart during the exchange. Johnson further contends Bridges has repeatedly filed what she describes as frivolous legal actions in an effort to interfere with her custody of their children.

At this stage, neither side’s latest allegations has been adjudicated in court, and the legal process remains ongoing.

The latest filings renew public attention on Bridges’ personal life, which has remained under scrutiny since his 2022 domestic violence case involving Johnson. In November 2022, Bridges entered a no contest plea to a felony domestic violence charge in California and received three years of probation. The NBA later suspended him for 30 games following its own investigation.

While Bridges’ prior case has been resolved through the courts, the current matter involves separate allegations arising from an ongoing custody dispute. As the case moves forward, any additional findings or rulings will ultimately be determined through the judicial process.

Sneaker Shop Talk will continue to monitor the case and provide updates as more verified information becomes available.
