The Philadelphia 76ers star gave sneaker fans their first on-foot look at the “NOT FROM HERE” 741 NFH during 76ers Media Day on Sept. 28.
And fittingly, Brown’s latest signature shoe looks like it came from another planet.

A New Chapter for 741
Brown launched 741 Performance in 2024 after spending more than two years without a traditional footwear endorsement deal. The brand’s first signature basketball shoe was the Rover.
The NOT FROM HERE represents the next step in that design evolution.
According to reporting from The Philadelphia Inquirer, Brown worked with 741 designers Que Gaskins, O’Shea and Deas to develop a shoe inspired heavily by his interest in outer space.
The design language was intentionally created to look less familiar and more organic — almost as if the shoe itself was created somewhere beyond Earth.
The “Grey Nebula” Look
Brown’s Media Day pair arrives in a muted gray colorway that fits perfectly with the extraterrestrial concept.
The new model features an unconventional low-top silhouette, futuristic shaping and an engineered upper that continues 741’s distinct visual identity.
The shoe also incorporates performance-focused elements designed around Brown’s needs on the court, including a drop-in footbed intended to accommodate players who use orthotics.
When Will the 741 NFH Release?
Brown is expected to wear the 741 NFH during the 2026-27 NBA season, with the shoe scheduled to make its regular-season debut when Philadelphia opens against the New York Knicks on Oct. 20.
The planned initial retail release is late November 2026.
That means Brown’s Media Day appearance is essentially a preview of what’s coming to sneaker shelves later this fall.
From The Rover to NOT FROM HERE
The evolution of 741 is becoming increasingly clear.
The original Rover established Brown’s independent performance brand. The NOT FROM HERE takes that foundation and pushes the visual language further into science fiction and space exploration.
741 currently uses space-inspired color names throughout its product lineup, including Grey Nebula, Black Moon, White Noise and Green Electron.
Brown isn’t simply putting his name on another basketball sneaker.
He’s building a footwear identity around his own creative vision.
And with the 741 NFH now officially appearing on an NBA court, the next question is simple:
How will sneaker fans react when the “NOT FROM HERE” finally lands at retail?
