This special edition AIr Force 1 commemorates the Detroit Pistons’ NBA Championship in 1989, which was the first of their back-to-back titles.
The sneaker features a red patent leather upper with a debossed pattern on the Swoosh and the heel, both of which are composed of red leather. On the heel, “ ‘89” is embroidered on gold with the same color found on the heel, while Piston-esque detailing is found on the tongue. The insoles feature “The D”on one and “Just Do It” in the classic style NBA Finals font.
A white midsole and a translucent outsole completes the aesthetic of this sneaker.
The “1989 NBA Finals” Air Force 1 will release in June 2019 at nike.com and select retail establishments. The sticker price is set at $100 USD,
