CONWAY, Ark. – The Alabama A&M women’s basketball team finished 2022 with a road win at Central Arkansas on Thursday afternoon, 53-51.

The Lady Bulldogs improve to 2-8, 0-0 SWAC, while the Sugar Bears fall to 5-6, 0-0 ASUN.

Turning Point
Trailing 51-42 with 3:25 remaining in the game, Alabama A&M went on a 11-0 run to close out the contest, giving them the 53-51 victory.

Individual Leaders
Grad-Transfer Toni Grace (Fishers, Ind.) had a game-high 19 points including shooting a near perfect 11-of-12 from the charity stripe for AAMU, while sophomore guard Amiah Simmons (Osawatomie, Kan.) finished with 12 points off the bench.

The Sugar Bears were led by Parris Atkins who finished with a team-high 16 points.
