The Golden Rams improved to (16-4) overall and (14-1) in the SIAC after sweeping the Edward Waters Tigers in a 3-game series that was played on Saturday and Sunday. The Tigers fell to (10-11) overall and (5-7) in the SIAC. The games were originally scheduled to be played in Jacksonville, Florida. Due to the weather, the games were played at the ASU West Campus in Albany, Georgia.
In game 1, the Golden Rams won (11-1). The Golden Rams scored 7 runs in the top of the 1st inning and 4 runs in the top of the 7thinning. The Golden Rams had 11 hits in the game.
Lavoisier Fisher had 3 hits and 3 RBIs. Chase Karn also finished with 3 hits and 1 RBI. Zane Ross had 2 hits and 3 RBIs. Zane Ross hit a home run over the right field wall in the 7thinning. Dominic Rutigliano had 2 hits and 2 RBIs.
Jeremiah Reddell pitched 7 innings and allowed 1 earned run with 9 strike outs. Reddell is (5-0).
In game 2, the Golden Rams defeated the Tigers (18-12). The Golden Rams exploded for 10 runs in the top of the 8th inning to seize control of the game.
Lavoisier Fisher got the scoring started in the 8th inning when he hit a triple to center field to score Andrew Leonard. After 3-straight batters were hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, Chase Karn hit a single to left field to score Nate Lloyd to give the Golden Rams a (10-5) advantage. Austin Roberts hit a single to left field that scored Zane Ross and Hill Corley. Lavoisier Fisher hit a single that scored Chase Karn. Luke Addison hit a double to center field that scored Lavoisier Fisher to give the Golden Rams a commanding (15-5) lead.
Luke Addison won his first game of the season. Addison is now (1-0).
In game 3, the Golden Rams won (11-2). The Golden Rams scored 4 runs in the 1st inning and 4 runs in the 5th inning.
In the 1st inning, Tucker Jordan hit a double to left field to give the Golden Rams a (3-0) lead. Chase Karn hit a homerun in the 2nd inning to give the Golden Rams a (5-0) lead. In the 5thinning, Austin Roberts hit a single to center field to score Jaelyn Brooks to extend the lead to (8-0).
Jordan Tucker finished with 2 doubles in the game for the Golden Rams. Dominic Rutigliano also had a double for the Golden Rams.
Landon Kiefer improved to (5-1) on the season after pitching 6 innings and allowing 2 earned runs with 6 strike outs.
