Albany State basketball to face off with Tuskegee

The Albany State Golden Rams men and women’s basketball teams will play the Tuskegee Golden Tigers at the Daniel “Chappie” James Center on Monday, November 28, in Tuskegee, Alabama.  The women will start at 5:30 pm and the men will begin at approximately 7:30 pm.
 
The Golden Rams women’s team is (3-2) overall and (1-0) in the SIAC.  The Golden Tigers are (4-1) overall and (2-0) in the conference.  The Golden Tigers only loss this season was to the Golden Rams on Tuesday, November 15, in Albany, Georgia.  The Golden Rams beat the Golden Tigers (68-60).
 
The Golden Rams are averaging 65.4 points per game while shooting 42.3% from the field.  Juanisha Black is averaging a double-double for the Golden Rams.  Black is averaging 12.6 ppg and 10.6 rpg.  Kashay Hankerson is averaging 11.8 ppg.
 
The Golden Tigers are averaging 66.2 points per game.  As a team, the Golden Tigers are shooting 40.3% from the field.  Nadia Thorman-McKey lead the Golden Tigers with 14.4 ppg and 4.4 rpg.  Brittany Bolin is averaging 13.0 ppg and 3.2 rpg.  JuToreyia Willis is averaging 10.8 ppg and 5.8 rpg.
 
The Golden Rams men’s team is (1-5) overall and (1-0) in the SIAC.  The Golden Rams won their first game of the season when they defeated Spring Hill College (72-70) on Saturday, November 26.  The Golden Tigers are (5-2) overall and (0-1) in the conference.  The Golden Tigers have lost 2 games in a row after starting the season with 5-straight wins.  The Golden Rams and Golden Tigers last played on December 13, 2021.  On that day, the Golden Tigers defeated the Golden Rams (65-49).
 
The Golden Rams are averaging 59.3 points per game.  As a team, the Golden Rams are shooting 36.7% from the field.  Maurice Dickson is averaging 13.5 ppg and 5.3 rpg.  Malik Parker is averaging 12.0 ppg.  Terin Wofford is averaging 10.3 ppg and 4.3 rpg.  Maxwell Harris is averaging 10.0 ppg.
 
The Golden Tigers are averaging 58.9 points per game while shooting 38.6% from the field.  D’Anthony Pennington is averaging 12.1 ppg.  Gregg Boyd is averaging 12.0 ppg.
