For those of you who may not know, the Nike Air Ship and not the Air Jordan I , was the actual shoe that the NBA banned, but as we know , facts were not allowed to trump clever marketing and that narrative was born.
A new colorway of the largely overlooked silhouette is planned for release later this year, Initial images have emerged and they reveled a clean and simple look, as it offers a white leather upper that features team orange Swooshes on the lateral and medial sides. Team orange shows up on the inner, collar, tongue branding and spare laces, with a white “NIKE AIR” on the rear collar rounding out the upper.
Underneath resides a white midsole and team orange rubber outsole completes this aesthetic, which I find intriguing.
The “Team Orange” Nike Air Ship is planned to debut during the upcoming holiday season. They will carry a 150 USD sticker price.
