Angel Reese was highly displeased, to say the least, following the Chicago Sky’s 80-75 loss to the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday.
Reese lambasted the officials in the game in postgame comments saying: “It’s tough when you talk to officials, and I asked them, ‘Hey, we’ve only been to the free throw once twice up unto the fourth quarter’, and she tells me it’s not her job. So it’s frustrating because I know how hard we are battling inside, and I think that we came down and fought as hard as we could with what we had and I just we continue to grow in this.”
Continuing about the officiating issues, Reese said “I think this is a leaping step for us, and we know we can compete with the best, but [the officiating] has to be fixed. And I don’t give a damn if I get fined because that s—t is cheap and I am tired of this s—t. ‘Cause I’ve been nice and I’ve been humble with it but I am tired of this s—t.”
The Sky attempted 8 free throws for the game, while the Lynx got to the charity stripe 17 times.
