Axel Julien has been huge for JDA Dijon this season and has especially stepped up in the playoffs. The point guard banked in 26 points in the quarterfinals and has now scored 22 in the semis for a 79-68 win over AS Monaco.

Julien shot 5-8 from the three-point territory while Hans Vanwijn helped him out with 16 points as Dijon came out much more prepared at the tip-off. They dominated early on, creating a 27-8 run.

However, Monaco managed to bounce back, thanks to Dee Bost and Jaleel O’Brien who scored 15 and 13 points respectively, and pushed the game within one possession (69-66). However, Dijon took over and with a 9-0 run sealed the deal.

For Dijon, Holston also put on a notable performance with 11 points, nine assists and five rebounds while Rasid Mahalbasic had his own all-around display for Monaco with eight points, 14 rebounds, and ten assists.

Later in the evening, LDLC ASVEL got a rather convincing 83-67 win over SIG Strasbourg to decide the other finalist. Ismael Bako led the way with 18 points and 12 rebounds while Antoine Diot added 16 and David Lighty 13 points.

For Strasbourg, Bonzie Colson had 13 and Brandon Jefferson 12 points.
