Air Max2 Light to return in another OG colorway

An original colorway of Nike Air Max2 Light, originally released in 1994, is making a return to retail. This colorway features purple mesh, with suede at the toe cap, over laid by white leather throughout the upper. Stupid Things People Do For Sneakers: Two Men. Attacked and Stabbed by 5; One has sneakers stolen

For our latest reporting of sneaker-inspired deparavity, we return to Brooklyn, N.Y. , where five ruffians ( four men and a woman) stabbed two men, robbing one of them of their sneakers. According to police, earlier this month the suspected attackers stabbed the two men, aged 21 and 28 respectively, multiple times at approximately 6:30 on March 24. Nike aids Chinese Goverment in the Confiscation of $87 million in Counterfeit Kicks

Police in Anhui (China) recently busted that country’s largest case of sneakers. The seized shoes, which numbered over 500,000 pair, were intended to be shipped to Asia and the Middle East. Although made of substandard materials, the sneakers were still valued at over $87 million. In December 2015 Anhui police received reports from Nike Sports China which indicated they had located a significant number of counterfeit shoes that looked like one of their branded products in Middle Eastern countries. 2017 marks the 20th anniversary of the Air Max 97 and to commemorate this, the OG “Silver Bullet” was released earlier in the year and now another OG colorway will follow it. “Oreo” VaporMax to drop this summer

With the highly anticipated release of the VaporMax earlier this week, many wondered what would susbsequent colorways look like and/or release?   The release of a new colorway of the VaporMax has answered at least one of those questions.   This model features a Flyknit upper with interweaved black and white fibers that have earned this shoe the “Oreo” moniker. The Nike Air VaporMax is the latest step in the journey of Nike Air that began in 1987 with the original Air Max and its groundbreaking visible air unit.  With the VaporMax, no longer does the air unit have to be undergirded by a layer of rubber for the purposes of increased protection and durability.
