SIAC announces women’s basketball yearly honourees

Courtesy of the SIAC The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its annual women’s basketball awards presented by TIAA to conclude the 2021-2022 regular season. This year’s all-conference teams, which ten fifteen student-athletes, were voted on by the league’s head coaches and sports information directors. Tuskegee’s forward, Ashiala Jackson, leads the 2022 SIAC Women’s Basketball All-Conference team as the 2022 SIAC Player of the Year. Clark Atlanta’s Corriana Evans garnished this year’s Newcomer of the Year award, while Imani Williams of Miles College captured the SIAC Freshman of the Year award.  JuToreyia Willis of Tuskegee earned…

From the SIAC: The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) announces the brackets for its 2022 Women’s and Men’s Basketball Tournament presented by TIAA. Albany State Athletic Department has NCAA probation lifted

Tuesday morning Albany State University announced that the NCAA had removed the school’s athletic probation from probation status. As reported by WALB, back in 2016 Albany State began an internal audit of its athletic program. Following that the University self-reported potential issues to the geniuses at the NCAA. It was an up-and-down day for Albany State basketball against Allen University as the Golden Rams split their matchup with the Yellow Jackets.
