Florida Memorial’s Wilbon III named Sun Conference OPOTW

Florida Memorial running back Walter Wilbon III was named Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week.  Against Edward Waters in the Big Cat Classic, Wilbon carried the ball 21 times for 170 yards and 4 touchdowns in the Lions’ 31-21 win.  Both his yardage and touchdown tallies are career highs for the senior out of Tampa, Florida.

The Southern Heritage Classic takes place this Saturday. The 35th edition of the game pits the Tigers of Tennessee State against the Lions of Arkansas Pine Bluff for the second consecutive season.
