Nike donates 30,000 pairs of shoes to hospitals

Having previously assisted with the effort against COVID-19 by repurposing footwear resources to produce PPE, Nike ,in partnership with non-profit Good360, donated 30,000 pair of the Zoom Pulse to hospitals and health care systems in Chicago, Los Angeles, Memphis, and New York City. The Brand leveraged Ja Morant and other members from its roster of athletes to make the announcement. Making A Difference: Nike produces PPE in fight against COVID-19

Teams from Nike’s innovation, manufacturing and product have been working with health care pros from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) to produce Product Protective Equipment in the form of full-face shields and powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) lenses to provide to health care workers. Nike has taken materials-footwear collar padding, apparel threads and TPU from air units- used in its footwear and repurposed them to be used in PPE. We recently gave a sneak peak of the Air Command Force inspired colorway of the LeBron 17 and now images of the shoe have emerged that show more than a close up of the tongue.
