In December, Nike made a wrong-headed decision to part ways with Kyrie Irving to end their partnership. Since that point, the future outlook for Irving’s footwear future has remained cloudly, with speculation abound linking Irving to several brands. in June the speculation was renewed when images of Irving surfaced wearing a pair of then-unknown Anta sneakers. This look for the Air Jordan XXXVIII sports a lavender blue upper with periwinkle present on the side weave and textured portion that wraps the heel and flanks the ankle. This upcoming Tatum 1 features a navy synthetic upper with jean-inspired overlays with red Jumpman and Tatum branding on the lateral ankle and tongue, respectively. It sports a grey nubuck and mesh upper with white appearing on the Jumpman and Tatum branding that can be seen on the lateral ankle and tongue, respectively. This upcoming Tatum 1 puts one in the mind of the classic “ Black /Cement” Jordan IV colorway. It sports a black upper with the first overlay reminiscent, visually speaking, of the netting on the seen on the IV. An embroidered Jumpman is seen on the lateral heel, with a red rear heel tab. Below resides a grey midsole with forefoot Zoom Air units and a grey rubber outsole. According to Complex Sneakers, the “Old School” Jordan Tatum 1 is scheduled to debut July 15.
