Nike and Major League Baseball announce 10-year deal

Friday, Major League Baseball and Nike announced they had reached a ten-year agreement that will make the athletic giant the officials provider of on-field apparel and merchandise beginning in 2020. Baltimore, Maryland based Under Armour struck a ten-year deal with Major League Baseball to be the uniform provider, but had to back out of the deal. They will remain one of MLB’s footwear providers. Nike to assume Under Armour’s 2020 MLB Uniform Deal

The rich get richer. NIke currently has uniform deals with the NBA and the NFL and according to a Sports Business Journal report, the Beaverton, Oregon based sports giant is closing in on the completion of an agreement to take over Under Armour’s upcoming Major League Baseball uniform contract.
