From Rob Goldberg of B/R: The San Antonio Spurs will sign center Gorgui Dieng when he clears waivers, according to Marc Stein of the New York Times. Dieng was waived by the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday after the team was unable to find a trade before Thursday’s deadline. The 31-year-old was reportedly in high demand once he became available, with Stein reporting interest from the New York Knicks, Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, Toronto Raptors, Miami Heat and Brooklyn Nets. LaMarcus Aldridge signs with Brooklyn Nets

The NBA wealth get even wealthier. Seven-time All-Star LaMarcus Aldridge , who was recently bought out by the San Antonio Spurs, will reportedly sign a one-year, veteran’s minimum deal with the Brooklyn Nets. Aldridge had posted numbers 13.7 points and 4.5 rebounds in the 45 appearances he made for the Spurs this season. The Nets may not yet still not be done bolstering their roster, as Wojnarowski adds they have a remaining roster spot they can fill in the buyout market.

Shortly after this initial tweet, more details surrounding the trade emerged: For McGee this will be a return to the Mile-High City.
