Brooklyn Nets unveils classic gamers for 2020-21 run

from nba.com : The Brooklyn Nets are the latest team to reveal a new look for the 2020-21 season. The Nets unveiled on Wednesday their Classic Edition uniform, which honors a fan-favorite “tie-dye” design worn during the 1990-91 season. The “sky blue-to-white gradient” uniforms were last worn by the Nets when the team played in New Jersey. As the Indiana Pacers are conducting their head coaching search following the highly questionable firing of Nate McMillan, according to Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer, a candidate may have separated himself from the pack. O’Connor reports that New Orleans Pelicans assistant coach Chris Finch has emerged as the front runner for the job. Former Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy and current L.A.Clippers assistant and former Cleveland Cavaliers head coach, Tyronn Lue are amongst four finalist for the vacant opening for the New Orleans Pelicans head coach job, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Van Gundy met with the team Tuesday and Luke’s meeting is scheduled for Wednesday.

Could the Rockets want that old thing back? According to the New York Times’ Marc Stein the team is scheduled to interview Jeff Van Grundy Wednesday. This would be Van Gundy’s second go-around with the team; he coached them from 2003-07, making the playoffs in three of his four seasons. Kristaps Porzingis has right knee surgery

Official release via NBA.com: The Dallas Mavericks announced today that Kristaps Porzingis underwent surgery to address a lateral meniscus injury of his right knee. Porzingis suffered the injury in Game 1 of the Mavericks’ opening-round series against the L.A. Clippers on Aug. 17. Porzingis will begin rehab immediately and there is no timetable set at this time.
