John Wall will more than likely not suit up for the Washington Wizards this season as he continues to recover from a torn Achilles’ tendon. The recovery seems to be progressing fairly well , as Wall threw down a dunk in a pregame workout in Boston. Hopefully this is a sign that Wall will be able to return close to form, but continued stretches of good health have been hard to come by for Wall over the last 2 seasons, he has played in only 73 games.

Raptors Anunoby to miss Blazers game with eye contusion

The Toronto Raptors announced small OG Anunoby will miss the team’s Wednesday game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Anunoby suffered an eye contusion in the team’s last game against the Los Angeles Clippers when former teammates Kawhi Leonard inadvertently poked him in the eye whilst the two were jockeying for position. Anunoby saw an eye specialist in Los Angeles but no timetable has been given for his return. Gordon Hayward will be out six weeks after hand surgery

Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward left the team’s game against the San Antonio Spurs with an injured left hand after colliding with LaMarcus Aldridge. Hayward met with doctors and it was determined that surgery would be the best course of action. The Celtics announced a few hours later that Hayward underwent successful surgery and he would be out for six weeks. Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Caris LeVert will miss the team’s Tuesday night game against the Utah Jazz with a sprained thumb, as reported by the New York Post’s Brian Lewis. Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward is having surgery on his injured left hand today, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Hayward injured his hand Saturday against the San Antonio Spurs. He had been playing well prior to his injury and was resembling the All-Star player that signed with the Celtics two years ago; through the first eight games he had averaged 18.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 4.1 assists on a scorching 55.5% from the floor, including 43.3% from downtown.
