DeMarcus Cousins injures knee in workout, further testing to come

Los Angeles Lakers center DeMarcus Cousins suffered an injury while working out in Vegas on Monday, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Woj adds the injury was apparently suffered when Cousins banged knees with another player. This is the latest in a series of health obstacles Cousins has faced since tearing his Achilles’ tendon during the 2017-18 season when he was with the New Orleans Pelicans. This coming season will mark the fiftieth for the Portland Trail Blazers and the court the club unveiled today will commemorate their golden season. Seventies styled font are at the end lines and side lines ( the Blazers won their sole NBA title in 1977) with a specially designed 50 logo at half court. Micheal Beasley suspended by NBA for drug violation

NBA free agent Michael Beasley was handed a five game suspension by the NBA on Thursday for violating the NBA’s anti-drug policy. Five game sit-downs are typically doled out to repeat offenders of the marijuana policy. This is Beasley’s first drug related issue since his 2013 arrest while he played for the Phoenix Suns. Udonis Haslem has been a constant for the Miami Heat for the 16 seasons he has been in the league NBA and he will extend that to a 17th season, as reported by the AP’s Tim Reynolds. Haslem was undrafted in 2002 out of the University of Florida, he balled for French team Élan Sportif Chalonnais, and signed as a free agent with Miami in 2003 and since that time, the only jersey he has played in has been a Heat gamer.

Well it looks like the Warriors did not want Draymond Green’s looming free agency to be yet another distracting storyline as they attempt to shift into the next phase of continuing their dynasty post KD. According to Adrian Wojnarowski ESPN the Warriors signed their defensive captain and leader to a four-year $100 million maximum contract. With the signing of Green, the Warriors have the services of three stalwarts – Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson – secured through at least 2022.
