The Chicago Bulls announces that Lauri Markkanen will play Tuesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Markkanen has been out a month with a pelvic stress reaction. Kyrie Irving undergoes surgery for shoulder injury

Tuesday, Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder to repair an impingement. The surgery and subsequent recovery means the end of Irving’s season. It was an injury-riddled 2019-20 campaign for Irving , with a myriad of injuries limiting him to just 20 games. In those 20 games, Irving was at an All-NBA level, 27.4 points, 6.4 assists and 5.2 rebounds per contest. Indiana Pacer guard Victor Oladipo will miss the team’s Monday night game against the San Antonio Spurs with a sore right knee. Oladipo was only ten games into a return from turn quadriceps tendon that prematurely ended his 2018-19 season and had him miss over half of the 2019-20 season. In those games he averaged 12.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game in 25.5 minutes per contest.

According to The Athletic and Stadium’s Shams Charania, Memphis Grizzlies signed free agent Anthony Tolliver to a ten-day contract. Charania adds that the free agent had several suitors after agreeing to a buyout with the Sacramento Kings, for whom he only appeared in nine games after being traded there, along with Kent Bazemore in exchange for Trevor Ariza, Wenyen Gabriel and former Blazer Caleb Swanigan.
