Kyrie Irving will not be in the lineup when the Boston Celtics take on the Sacramento Kings Wednesday night. This is the second consecutive contest Thompson has missed with this same issue. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the San Antonio Spurs and center Pau Gasol have agreed on a buyout. Gasol is eligible for the playoffs for his next team. Injuries have limited the former All-Star to just 27 games this year,and only 6 starts. Gasol is averaging just 4.2 points and 4.7 rebounds in only 12.2 minutes per game. If healthy, he can be beneficial to a playoff team with his scoring and passing ability.
