Valdosta State beats down Fort Valley State 55-6 in Okefenokee Classic

The Blazers of Valdosta State came out strong in the first quarter and didn’t let up in their 55-6 lambasting of Fort Valley State in the Okefenokee Classic. Morehouse too much for Lane in 42-20 defeat

Morehouse moved to 2-0 with their 42-20 defeat of Lane College. The first half was a back-and-forth affair that saw the lead swapped the lead four times. Lance got the scoring going in big play fashion with Joshua Jeffrey taking it 58- yards to the house. The extra point was missed, leaving the score 6-0 in favor of the dragons. Benedict jumped on Johnson C. Smith early and never let the Golden Bulls into the game, scoring three quick touchdowns en route to a 42-14 victory this Saturday. After completing a 45-yard pass from quarterback Dominique Harris to Delon Freeman on their first offensive play, it would only take them three more plays to fins the end zone for the first time- a 6-yard touchdown pass to  Jemine Yesin. Kentucky State falls to McKendree University 34-17

McKendree University quarterback Reese Metcalf threw a career-high four touchdown passes in the Bearcats’ 34-17 victory over Kentucky State. Metcalf and the Bearcat offense got right to work, scoring on its first two drives. They took the opening kickoff and went on a 7-play, 65-yard drive that ended in a 5-yard touchdown pass from Metcalf to Steven Towns, Jr. The extra point gave McKendree a 7-0. Central State beats Clark-Atlanta 7-0 in muddy battle

It was a rainy, windy day in Wilberforce, Ohio. The center of McPerson Stadium , grass was once present, became a muddy quagmire that bogged down both offenses. The conditions limited the teams to less than 300 yards of offense between them ( 155 for Clark-Atlanta and 100 for Central State) and only 14 first downs ( 10 for CAU and only 4 for CSU) in the game.
