Travis Steele fined for halftime conduct against Western Michigan

Miami University head basketball coach Travis Steele was fined $2,500 by the Mid-American Conference for his actions during Miami’S game against Western Michigan on Friday the conference announced Tuesday morning.  At halftime of the Miami/Western Michigan game, Steele, apparently displeased with a call and the explanation given to him by provided by game officials, stormed off the court. North Carolina A&T forward Lewis Walker was the CAA Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.  Walker averaged 20.0 points on 60% shooting from the field and 94.1% from the free-throw line in helping the Aggies split a pair of contests. Against the College of Charleston, Walker scored 16 points on a very efficient 5-9 shooting and 6-7 from the charity stripe. Alabama State’s Dylan Djete invited to CFL combine

Alabama State wide receiver Dylan Djete has accepted an invitation to the CFL.  The Quebec native began his collegiate career at Wofford. Following his freshman campaign, in which he caught 27 passes for 431 yards and a touchdown, Djete was also named to the Southern Conference All-Freshman Team.  In his 3 seasons at Wofford, Djete appeared in 31 games, catching 59 passes for 772 yards and 4 touchdowns.
