Grambling to honor 1985 Football team at 2019 home opener

GRAMBLING, La. | The Grambling State University Department of Athletics, in collaboration with the Eddie G. Robinson 100th Birthday Commemoration Committee, will honor the 1985 Football team during the Oct. 12 home opener against Alabama A&M with an 80s G-Men Throwback Game, sponsored by adidas. The 1985 season was special for many reasons, including Eddie Robinson’s winning his record-breaking 324th victory, which surpassed Alabama’s Paul “Bear” Bryant for then-most wins by a college football head coach. Grambling wide receiver and his brother amongst three shot in New Orleans

Tragedy touched the Grambling State Football program this week. Red-shirt senior wide receiver Darrell Clark and his younger brother Keyon, was amongst three people shot out a New Orleans gym. Clark and the other ,as of yet, unidentified victim were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 2019 SWAC Football Media Day taking place July 16

From Grambling State Athletics: GRAMBLING, La. | Grambling State University freshman softball player Rikkelle Miller was named to the All-Louisiana Softball Second Team, the Louisiana Sports Writers Association announced late Sunday night. Miller, who earned Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Rookie of the Year and Second Team honors, garnered the recognition after an outstanding freshman campaign.  The Atlanta, Ga. native led team and SWAC in hitting, with a .423 batting average. Kawhi Leonard sues Nike over logo

Kawhi Leonard and Jordan Brand parted ways back in 2018. He subsequently signed an endorsement deal with the Boston Massachusetts based company. I’m sure he thought his dealings with Nike and Jordan Brand were done, at least for the foreseeable future but that is not the case they will be seeing each other again- in court.  According the Portland Business Journal’s Matthew Kish, Leonard is suing Nike. Alabama State takes Men’s and Women’s 2019 SWAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships

From swac.org: PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas- The Alabama State Women’s Track and Field claimed team their 10th consecutive Southwestern Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field title leading the field with 177.5 total points.
