From the CIAA:
The CIAA Student-Athlete Spotlight, presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors, kicks off the New Year with a feature on Jerinique Brooks of Fayetteville State University. Brooks is a senior women’s track & field student-athlete from Nassau, Bahamas. She majors in criminal justice and maintains a 3.28 grade point average.
Athletic Accomplishments:
Indoor Track & Field – Named 2020 CIAA Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Year
Indoor Track & Field – Helped FSU women win their first title at 2020 CIAA Championships
Indoor Track & Field – Earned All-American status in the 200m and 4x400m relay for the 2020 season
Indoor Track & Field – Won the 60m and 200m at the 2020 CIAA Championships, finished third in the 4x400m relay
Indoor Track & Field – Helped FSU women finish in third place at 2019 CIAA Championships
Indoor Track & Field – Placed second at the 2019 CIAA Indoor Championships in the 200m and 4x400m relay
Outdoor Track & Field – Helped FSU women finish in second place at 2019 CIAA Championships
Outdoor Track & Field – Won the 200m and 4x100m relay at the 2019 CIAA Championships, finished second in the 100m
Outdoor Track & Field – Earned All-American status in the 200m after finishing seventh at the 2019 NCAA Championships
General – 2020 NCAA Women of the Year Nominee

“My greatest inspiration is Allyson Felix. She is the epitome of greatness and strength. She is an advocate for women athletes and never gives up.”

“I love training hard to perform at my best while representing the illustrious Fayetteville State University!”
