My first thought upon first laying eyes on the images of the ’Emoji” Air Jordan 12 GS was ”these look familiar” and after pondering on it briefly, it came to me why they seemed so familiar- they reminded me of a Carmelo Anthony PE from his time with the Denver Nuggets (pictured below). .
As can be seen from the images this Air Jordan 12 sports a white leather upper with university blue overlays on the lateral and medial sides. University blue is also present on the external lace holes, ”TWO3” and Jumpman on the tongue , as well as on the rear heel, , which reads ”JORDAN” and ”QUALITY INSPIRED BY THE GREATEST PLAYER EVER” . The shoe gets its nickname from the emojis that appear on the lateral rear heel ( a heart, trophy and battery) , with a graphic pattern repeated on the inner.
Underneath resides a university blue and white midsole and a university blue blue rubber outsole with lemon venom traction sections.
The ”Emoji” Air Jordan 12 GS is scheduled to release June 1 at nike.com and select retail venues; they will carry a 150 USD sticker price.
