Although the “Fire Red” Air Jordan 9 should be derided for not being the colorway we really want, the French Blue 9, I am finding a real difficult time generating the rancor for this sneaker. I think this sneaker is a cash grab that is meant to stoke the fires of anticipation for an eventual return of the French Blues, but despite all those things being true, it is a well-executed shoe.
The white leather of the upper is overlaid with cool grey patent leather. Fire red is seen on the lace loops, pull tabs, and the branding on the tongue and rear heel.
Underneath resides a cool grey midsole and fire red Jumpman-branded white rubber outsole.
The “Fire Red” Air Jordan 9 is scheduled to debut December 13; they will carry a 200 USD sticker price.
