Ja Morant just gave sneaker fans an early look at a high-top version of the Nike Ja 4, adding another intriguing twist to his fourth signature sneaker with Nike.
Morant was spotted wearing the high-top Ja 4, showcasing a noticeably taller build than the standard low-cut version that has become associated with the silhouette.
The first look comes as Nike’s Ja 4 rollout continues, with the fourth signature model introducing a new performance-focused design for Morant. Nike has highlighted updated cushioning, traction and design elements as part of the Ja 4’s performance package. (Nike.com)
The Ja 4 has already generated plenty of attention with multiple colorways planned throughout 2026, including the “Dark Mode” and “Jaws” editions. (Sole Retriever)
Now, Morant appears to be expanding the silhouette beyond its standard low-top construction.
The high-top build could offer additional ankle coverage while maintaining the aggressive aesthetic of the Ja 4. The shoe retains the model’s recognizable sculpted upper and bold performance-driven design language.
Nike and Morant have not yet announced whether this high-top version will receive a retail release.
For now, it’s a first look at a potentially new direction for the Ja 4—and sneaker fans will certainly want to know whether this is a player-exclusive build or something that could eventually make its way to shelves.
