TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –– Florida A&M softball hosts Jackson State for their conference opening weekend.

The Rattlers are coming off a tough home loss to Southeastern Louisiana in their home opener last week but have had a ton of success versus other HBCU (5-1) and SWAC (3-0) schools this season. This will be their SWAC opener, as the other games were part of a non-conference tournament.

The Tigers are coming in with a 9-7 record and on a two-game winning streak. The Rattlers swept the Tigers in the 2022 season (9-3, 6-5, 4-3).

The Rattlers are coming in with two of the top players in the nation as Nyah Morganis ranked 10th in the nation in caught stealing with seven, and Melkayla Irvis is ranked 8th in the nation in triples with three.
