Georgia Southwestern downs Albany State, 84-75

The Golden Rams men’s basketball team lost their first game of the season when they were defeated (84-75) by the Georgia Southwestern Hurricanes on Monday evening in Americus, Georgia.  With the loss, the Golden Rams fell to (2-1) on the season while the Hurricanes improved to (3-1) overall. 
 
The Golden Rams trailed (40-33) at the half.  After a made free throw by Reggie James, the Golden Rams cut the lead to 6 with 8:16 remaining in the game.  But, that would be as close as the Golden Rams would get.
 
The Golden Rams shot 43.6% from the field, 20% from the 3 point line and 85.7% from the free throw line.
 
Blaise Wallace led the Golden Rams with 17 points and 15 rebounds.  Andy Antoine finished with 16 points and Shakur Poteatcontributed with 13 points.
 
The Hurricanes shot 54.1% from the field, 36.8% from the 3 point line and 84.6% from the free throw line.
 
The Hurricanes finished with 4 players in double figures.  Jaylen Jordan finished with 17 points and 8 rebounds.  Jalen Johnson added 16 points and 5 rebounds.  Justin Monden contributed with 15 points.  Christian Koone finished with 12 points.
