This upcoming Air Jordan XXXVI is the latest Rui Hachimura-associated Jordan silhouette, following in the outsoles of the Air Jordan 8 and Jordan Series 01.
The Air Jordan XXXVI is visually similar to the previously referenced Jordan 8 in that it appears to make use of the same twine, gym red, black and sesame color palette. Its twine Leno-Weave upper is overlaid with suede at the toe and heel, as well as a crackled-texture leather at the eye-row that also wraps the heel. The same textured leather is also seen at the collar. Black shows up on the tongue, laces, piping and inner; red is seen on the Rui and Jumpman logos on each respective tongue, and is seen as a tertiary accent hue throughout the upper. Japanese characters can be seen on the tongue backing, along with a graphical display on the insole.
Underneath resides a twine midsole with a cracked pattern to coordinate with that of the upper and a translucent outsole below which another graphic can be seen.
The ”Global Game” Rui Hachimura x Air Jordan XXXVI is scheduled to debut May 23 at nike.com and select retail venues; they will carry a 195 USD sticker price.
