ORANGEBURG, S.C. — South Carolina State left absolutely no doubt Saturday night.
The Bulldogs dominated Virginia State 66–0 at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium on Willie E. Jeffries Field, improving to 3–0 while handing the Trojans their first loss of the season.
South Carolina State controlled the game from the opening quarter through the final whistle, scoring in every quarter and keeping Virginia State off the scoreboard. The Bulldogs led 31–0 at halftime before adding 35 more points after the break. (Clemson Athletics)
The performance was dominant on both sides of the ball.
SC State finished with 480 total yards, including 282 rushing yards and 198 passing yards, while holding Virginia State to just 114 total yards. The Bulldogs also held a commanding 27–8 advantage in first downs and controlled possession for 37:33. (Clemson Athletics)
And defensively, the Bulldogs were relentless.

What’s Next for South Carolina State?
The Bulldogs are now 3–0 and will hit the road next week for a matchup with Furman on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. Virginia State will lick its proverbial wounds and return to action Saturday against Elizabeth City State.
