The Howard University women’s basketball team has paused all activities due to positive COVID-19 test results among the program’s “Tier 1” personnel, consisting of student-athletes, coaches, medical staff, equipment staff, game day operators, and officials.

According to the CDC and Howard University protocols, the team will remain in quarantine and will not return to basketball activities until cleared. As a result, this week’s scheduled games with American University and the University of Dayton have been canceled.

Howard University places the safety of our student-athletes and staff first and foremost. Therefore, we will continue to conduct robust testing and require our athletes to observe safety and social distancing guidelines.
