Jackson State’s Jacobian Morgan named HBCU National Player of the Week

For his gridiron exploits this weekend, Jackson State quarterback Jacobian Morgan was named the BOXTOROW National HBCU Player of the Week. 

In the Tigers’ 38-13 win over Southern in the BoomBox Classic, the grad student had his most statistically prolific game of the year. Morgan completed 21 of 31 passes for 337 yards, 2 touchdowns, of 51 and 82 yards respectively, and no interceptions.  This season the Syracuse transfer has completed 50-of-88 passes for 615 yards, 2 touchdowns, and an interception. 

Morgan will be highlighted on BOXTOROW’s nationally syndicated radio show, hosted by Donal Ware. The program airs on WJSU in Jackson, MS, as well as radio stations across the United States, the Bahamas, and the British Virgin Islands.
