Kevin Love out against Heat with Achilles sorness

Cleveland Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love will miss the team’s Saturday night game against the Miami Heat due to soreness in Achilles’ tendon.

The former All-Star was the last piece of the “big three”( a move that if not strongly influenced by was certainly green lit by the Lebron James brain trust) to be put alongside Kyrie Irving and Lebron James when James has his second run with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Unfortunately for Love , he did not possess the foresight of his All-Star his running mate Kyrie Irving and was left the last remnant of that triumvirate to languish on a rebuilding team and a rudderless and disfunctional organisation. Love could have departed free and clear after the 2017-18 season but the Cavs gave $120 million reasons to stick around.
It seems all that jack has done little to quell Love’s frustration with the state of affairs in Cleveland. In January he lobbed an “emotional verbal outburst” at general manager Koby Altman. This was chased by an incident in a January 4 game against the Oklahoma City Thunder in which he appeared to be exasperated with Colin Sexton dribbling the tack off the ball and chucked a frustration fueled pass to Cedi Osman.

This season Love is averaging 17.5 points and 9.6 rebounds per game.
