Monday morning the announced the completion of their trade with the Detroit Pistons. In the deal the Knicks sent guard Alec Burks, center Nerlens Noel, two future seconds and cash in exchange for the draft rights to Nikola Radicevic and a future second.
Burks averaged 11.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists this past season and overall 12.2 points 4.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists in his two seasons as a Knickerbocker on .403/.408/.832 shooting splits. Injuries limited Nerlends Noel to just 25 games this season and as a result, Noel’s production decreased across the board, averaging 3.4 points ( down from last year’s 5.1) 5.6 rebounds ( dawn from last year’s 6.4 ) and down a full block from last season to 1.2 . When healthy Noel can provide some rim protection and rebounding.
Nikola Radičevićis a 6ft, 5in Serbian point guard who was taken with the 57th overall pick in 2015 by the Denver Nuggets. He most recently played for BC Lietkabelis in the EurCup. In 12 games he averaged 6.8 points, 4.1 assists and 2.3 rebounds on .349/.222/.783 splits,
