DURHAM, N.C. – Devin Butts scored a season-high 16 points to top five Eagles in double figures and Dan Oladapo registered his first double-double of the season as North Carolina Central University remains undefeated at home with a 98-52 victory over Toccoa Falls College on Tuesday night inside McDougald-McLendon Arena.

Butts connected on 5-of-9 from the field, including 4-of-8 from 3-point range, and converted both free throws for his season’s best scoring performance. Oladapo made 6-of-8 from the floor for 14 points, while also grabbing a game-high and season-best 13 rebounds.

NCCU (7-7) also received double-digit scoring efforts from Kris Monroe and Justin Wright with 13 points apiece, while Fred Cleveland Jr. contributed a season-high 12 points to go along with five assists and three steals. Eric Boone collected six points, five assists and five steals in the Eagles’ seventh straight win at home.

Toccoa Falls (4-5) was led by Josh Parker with 13 points.

NCCU begins MEAC play on Saturday, Jan. 7, at Morgan State University, and will remain in Baltimore for Monday’s match-up against Coppin State University.
