BALTIMORE, Md. — 
Ammaarah Williams slammed a match-high 10 kills to lead Coppin State to a 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 25-23) sweep at Morgan State on Friday night, clinching the program’s second MEAC regular-season title in the last three seasons.

The Eagles now stand at 21-9 overall and 12-2 in league play and will share the league title with Howard.

Williams hit .222 for the match with 10 kills on 27 swings while adding eight digs.

Delaware State 3, Maryland Eastern Shore 0

DOVER, Del. — 
Delaware State capped off its 2022 regular season with a 3-0 MEAC win over the Hawks of Maryland Eastern Shore on Friday.

Sydney Lewis and Valeria Otero led the Hornets with double-digit point performances, led by a match-high nine kills each.

Lewis added one solo block and four assisted blocks, finishing her night with a game-best 12 points. With her blocks on Friday, Lewis finished the 2022 regular season with 103 total blocks on the season for a second straight season of at least 100 total blocks.

Howard 3, Norfolk State 0

WASHINGTON, D.C. — 
With a 3-0 (27-25, 25-21, 25-15) win over Norfolk State Friday evening in BUrr Gymnasium, Howard University clinched a share of the 2022 MEAC regular-season title with Coppin State.

The Bison finished the regular season with a 19-9 overall mark, going 12-2 in MEAC play.

Rya McKinnon led the way with 22 kills, committing just five errors in 35 swings for a .486 hitting percentage, while also racking up nine digs and two service aces. Cimone Woodard added 10 kills, hitting .368, and two blocks.

North Carolina Central 3, South Carolina State 0

DURHAM, N.C. — 
Outside hitter Abby Vacha blasted a career-high 13 kills on her Senior Night and North Carolina Central coasted to a 3-0 MEAC home win over South Carolina State on Friday evening inside McDougald-McLendon Arena.

The Eagles completed the season-series sweep of the Bulldogs by set scores of 25-12, 25-17 and 25-16.

N.C. Central finished its regular season with a 7-18 overall record and a 6-8 league ledger.
