BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Alabama State’s Jada Rhodes, Temperance Chatman, and Madison Beasley along with Florida A&M’s Brooke Lynn Watts for SWAC Volleyball Weekly Honors for their impressive performances during the past weekend of conference play.

Offensive
Rhodes tallied 31 kills during Alabama State league matches this past week of competition. She registered eight kills during ASU’s win over Bethune-Cookman followed by 23 kills in a Lady Hornets’ win over Florida A&M.

Defensive
Chatman totaled 48 digs during two Alabama State league matches this past week of competition. She recorded 21 digs during ASU’s win over Bethune-Cookman followed by a 27 digs performance during Alabama State’s win over Florida A&M.

Setter
Beasley logged 23 assists during Alabama State’s win over Bethune-Cookman before tallying 29 assists during ASU’s win over Florida A&M. She has contributed six straight matches of 20 or more assists. Alabama State has won a total 11 straight matches during that span.

Newcomer
Watts contributed significantly for the Florida A&M Rattlers on the offensive and defensive side, finishing the week with 20 kills (3.33 kills per set), 19 digs (3.17 digs per set), and four blocks.
