Nuggets Jamal Murray tears ACL, out for season

from nba.com:

Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray is out indefinitely with a torn ACL in his left knee, the team announced on Tuesday.

Murray suffered the injury with 50 seconds remaining in Denver’s loss to Golden State on Monday. An MRI confirmed the diagnosis.

Murray had missed the previous four games due to soreness in his other knee.

The former seventh overall pick was enjoying a career year for the Nuggets, who had surged up the Western Conference standings since acquiring Aaron Gordon from Orlando at the trade deadline. A fifth-year guard, Murray is averaging 21.3 points while shooting 48% overall and 41.2% from 3-point range.
