The Jordan Team 1 holds a special place for me as it was my first ever Jordan Brand shoe, purchased from my local Athlete’s Foot back in 1997.
Myself and other and other fans of the Team 1 will have another chance at them, as Jordan Brand will be re-releasing this silhouette that hearkens back to the infancy of Jordan Brand.
It stays true, visually, to its forbears in that it sports a black leather upper with a white overlay on the medial forefoot. The label at the top of the black mesh tongue reads “JORDAN PERFORMANCE BRAND OF EXCELLENCE”.
Additional jeweled branding is seen on the rear heel, where a Jumpman can be seen below text that reads “ “JORDAN TEAM BASKETBALL” as well as on the lateral ankle where a Jumpman can be seen.
Underneath resides a two tone black and white midsole whose coloration perfectly coincides with that of the upper that houses Zoom Air cushioning and white trimmed rubber outsole with black traction sections.
