“One Block at a Time” Born x Raised x Nike Dunk SB Low postponed in lieu of tragic death of brand’s founder

Tragedy struck Wednesday morning as Born x Raised Clothing founder Chris “Spanto” Printup succumbed to injuries suffered in an auto accident in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

An Instagram post from the Born x Raised account read: “ Spanto was in a car accident on June 25. He passed away at 7:56 am  (local time), June 28 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He leaves behind his wife Anna and three children, Marilyn, Carter and David, a sister, three brothers, his mother, step mother, and step father, his beloved grandparents, his family at Born X Raised, his extended native family, the city of Los Angeles that he loved and championed, and an extensive network of true friends,.”

Unlike with the tragic accident that took Kobe and Gianna Bryant, ( along with seven other people) Nike in a rare moment lucidity has decided to pull the collaborative “One Block at a Time” Born x Raised x Nike Dunk SB from SNKRS and jas postponed the upcoming release.

Perhaps the company has learned from their numerous and egregious gaffes with several posthumous Kobe releases and, at least for the time being, denied the sneaker death profiteers another chance to use a tragedy to line their greedy pockets.
