Nigel Hayes and coach Sarunas Jasikevicius are reunited. Barcelona announced the signing of Hayes – pending the medical exams – without confirming that it’s a one year-deal. The 26-years old forward (2,03 m.)  was also a player of Saras in Zalgiris Kaunas and got a workout this summer in Boston.

However, as Eurohoops has reported, while Hayes was aiming for a deal in the NBA, however, playing for a club like Barcelona and aiming for a Euroleague title is a good enough reason to return to Europe at least for one more season.

The player (2,03 m.) was also linked with Panathinaikos and Monaco recently. Last year in Zalgiris, he averaged 9,5 points and 3,9 rebounds per game.

Hayes played for the Westchester Knicks, the Lakers, the Raptors, and the Kings, before moving to Europe in 2018 and playing for Galatasaray and Zalgiris Kaunas, winning the Lithuanian league championship title.
